Base Operative

Base Operative   A Base Op is the lowest rank an agent can hold at W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P., though not at all the least important. While the agent roles seem to place most dangerous at the top and least dangerous at the bottom, Base Ops are the core of the agency. Without the braves who work from their computers and desks doing research, interfering remotely, monitoring suspects and reviewing evidence, the Willowisp organization would not be what it is today.

Duties

Base Op agents are essentially those who do not go out into the field for work. They stay at W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. headquarters and file paperwork, research missions, review surveillance camera and audio footage (be it live or recorded), and assist their Commander with any other tasks they may assign.   In essence, most agents (those who hold the position and other ranks as well) consider this to be the most boring role that exists, while a slim few would prefer to stay safe and warm in a traditional office building than to risk their lives and safety fighting on the front lines, narrowly escape an explosion, or end up crawling through a grimy sewer pipe to track down a sleezy criminal.

Responsibilities

While the 'Hot Shots' are out doing the ground work, the Base Ops are doing all the paperwork and research, documenting trends, fishing important details, and spying on targets from afar. Some Base Ops work in technology, hacking into databases, creating false trails, and following cyber criminals.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

As with all W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. operatives, if a Base Op is seen as untrustworthy or has violated company protocols, they are at risk of Erasure or worse, for they have witnessed too many secret workings of the organization.
