Rock Paper Scissors Spy
What Can the Cards Do?
In addition to simply looking cool, there are several ways you can play with the deck. Whether alone or with others, the possibilities have no end! Below are a few examples of games that can be played.Rock Paper Scissors Spy
In this game, cards are played like the classic game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, only there are more cards! Since Rock is red, Paper is yellow, and Scissors is blue, mixing the colors gives your character more abilities. If your card is pink, white, brown, or grey, you will need to roll a die to determine which symbol you've drawn. Whoever wins the match claims the other card as a point. The person with the most points at the end of the game wins the round. If there is a tie, more RPS duels must be played until one of the players wins another point, breaking the tie.Opposing Operatives
This game is played like War but with a twist. Each of the cards possesses identification numbers. When two cards are drawn against each other, the ID numbers will count as the numbers to compare. Highest number wins the match, but since ID numbers have more than one digit, a die is rolled to determine which of the numbers are chosen.RPG Zine
With the cards comes an interactive zine. The zine can be played with any agent from the deck. Each card is equipped with a statblock that will help determine what happens to your character within the adventure. If you would like to play with a partner, a C.A.R., a pet, a weapon, or any other thing, these add-on cards will also assist you in your travels. You may also decide to embark upon a partner or team mission.Collecting and Trading
The main idea is that these packs will provide the opportunity for people to trade rare cards, collect their favorites, and build awesome decks that help win battles against other players, or allow for more adventure modes to be unlocked in the RPG zine.TTRPGs
Each card comes with info and statblocks of the agents and items featured, a trait that players and gamemasters alike can appreciate. Cards can be imported into the game as-is, modified to fit your system and setting of choice, or referenced as inspiration for playable characters, NPCs, and items within the game.Homebrew Play
The potential for trading card fun is limitless! Be inspired to play around, have fun, and create your own rules! If you would like your picture shown on your cameo card, WordiGirl will work with you to make sure that it is a good fit for the game. If you would rather not use your own photograph, you can describe your agent's apparel and WordiGirl will work to bring it to reality. If you are still uncertain about what you would like the art for your card to look like, WordiGirl will take creative direction to make sure it shapes up to be something epic and amazing.
All art not submitted by you will be original art by WordiGirl that is either illustrated or depicted and photographed, without the use of AI image generators.
Kickstarter Plan
Details and breakdown of necessary expenses For this project, I am aiming to raise at least $10,000. I debated for a long time whether to make the goal lower so that it can be guaranteed to fund, or to actually be realistic about my needs and the requirements of the endeavor. After much deliberation and prayer, I finally settled on the latter. Though the goal is quite hefty, it is important to raise these funds for a wide variety of reasons. I would not want to over-promise and under-deliver. With less money, the people who actually do contribute would not be able to properly receive all the perks they are entitled to without me going into my own pocket (which is something that I'm not even able to do right now, as I have practically no funds available to my name). To break down the pricing and why the goal is to raise $10,000, I will explain further information below: Each deck will have approximately 100 cards in it. The ultimate plan is to get a pool of 5,000 cards and divide them into individual packets filled with 5 cards each. This means, there will be 1,000 packs of this first-edition deck. The packs will be shuffled and randomly disbursed, available for purchase at official W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. channels, but everyone who contributes to the Kickstarter will receive the entire deck of all cards, so it will not be necessary for them to try and purchase random packs to collect the whole set. The cost for these decks, at bulk, is approximately $30 per deck, which only includes card printing and shipping only. To accrue the necessary 5,000 cards, I will need to purchase 50 decks and mix them all up, which will cost me approximately $1,500. The small eco-friendly paper envelopes in which to store each set of five random cards will cost me approximately about $0.08 per piece, which totals out to about $400 for the entire pool of 5,000 that divide into the 1,000 first-edition collector packs. In addition to this, I would like to have zipping custom card collection binders in which to store the cards. Each of these cost approximately $40 and will have to be made-to-order as people request them. The Zine itself will be a book that includes several instructions and various games that can be played with the cards, as well as a few RPG adventures that can be run as a group or for a solo player. The estimated amount of pages for this book have not yet been calculated, but I can surmise that rounding up to about $50 per book is not unreasonable. Contributors to the project will receive the book and a full deck of cards, along with their own cameo card, display case, easel, and collector portfolio without having to purchase anything extra. These perks alone do require a lot of money that will be determined by the amount of contributors we receive. If the project funds, and each supporter donates $500, we will only need to multiply the perks by 20, but if the goal is split up amongst more backers, we will have to use more money to ensure that everyone receives the goodies they were promised while still allowing me to have the necessary funds to continue with the original vision for the project, debuting it for the general public to purchase. None of these costs include the time, attention, and dedication I put into the project in the form of writing, designing, art, direction, and all other aspects of the endeavor. I am a one-woman team and do not have any other people to assist me in these projects. I have also been struggling as my house, which doubles as my studio, is in Jeopardy of being lost. All funds raised will contribute to the writing, designing, printing, and all other means of development for the Rock Paper Scissors Spy game. Any other monies acquired will be used to finalize the audio movie production of House of Spies and aid the studio facility by paying the mortgage, bills, and other utilities such as electricity and internet which prove necessary for me to continue creating this game and making other related content for all supporters.Risks and challenges
Due to the uncertain state of my house's mortgage, I am not sure that I will be able to continue this project if the funds are not raised. If the project successfully funds, I plan to deliver on all the goodies. I know that this goal is quite a hefty one, but I needed to make sure that I was being realistic and not underselling myself. If the project fully funds, all digital perks should be delivered within two months of closing, but the physical goods, as an over-estimation, may take up to five months to be printed. I want to make sure that I am allowing myself ample time to finalize all art, check over for errors, and send everything off to be printed. After these things have been done, we must also allot for the time it takes each company I am working with to print out the products and add customization. Lastly, we need to provide a realistic time perirod between the instance I receive the items and check them all to make sure they are perfect for everyone, and the process of me packaging them up neatly with signed merch and thank-you notes to ship them off to you.Get in on the action!
