Janitor

Special thank you to all of the janitorial staff here at the W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. organization. Though your job may seem dirty and unimportant, you are just as valuable as our most Elite Espionage agents.   Do also remember that, even though you may be a simple janitor, you have still been entrusted with several company secrets including headquarter base locations and employee statuses. Do not abuse this information or consequences may abound.   If you are no longer interested in being a janitor for the company, we advise you to apply internally for other positions. Otherwise, specific and strenuous measures may be taken, as one may not simply quit and leave the company. We appreciate your dedication and understanding.

Employment

Even people who have positions at W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. that don't specifically involve secret spy affairs are vetted and recruited. Though they are not let in on as many secrets as the average operative, they are an essential worker with access to top secret locations, special bases, and several important personnel.   Many of these positions have not had a good turnaround rate, so the company has often resorted to swapping out longtime trustworthy agents who are tired of being in the field and allowing them to have less strenuous work by performing menial tasks around headquarters.

Commander McCox gives newbies the rundown:   It may seem funny, but these janitors have to do a lot of the stuff agents do. They create a WISPersona. A lot of them stay on company properties. They have a pretty good job and they get paid well, too. Hey, if the spy thing doesn't work out, you could probably become a janitor around here. I here quite a few 'retirees' do it.   ...W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. doesn't really...let people retire in the normal way. But, that's okay! You're still young, kid. Don't worry about it.

It is funny, you never think about maintenance workers or janitors in places of high secrecy and security. They themselves have to be highly trustable as they could pretty easily steal information. I like the concept of internal hiring, with janitors being elevated to field agents and vice-versa. Would be interesting to hear about one of these cases, a former-janitors experience being bumped up to agent. Or even how extreme a shift from being an active agent to a "regular" janitor would be.
