Dressers

The term Dressers is widely used to refer to all employees in the department responsible for outfitting, hairdressing, making up, and accessorizing W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. personnel. From disguising agents for undercover operations, to helping individuals express themselves in normal life around campus or headquarters, Dressers assist people of all ranks for all kinds of occasions.   Hair, makeup, and clothing is an important aspect of correctly preparing an operative for their next role, but it is also essential for any individual who works at the agency as they transition through their WISPersonification process. For some, this means becoming a new person. For others, it means becoming a true version of yourself.   The varioius responsibilities of Dressers include (but are not limited to):
  • curating W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. wardrobes
  • organizing and storing items
  • styling hair
  • applying makeup
  • tailoring clothing
  • providing fashion advice
  • ordering requested items
  • designing and fashioning articles
  • spearheading the Catalog of WILLOWISP merch?
  • laundering soiled clothing
  • repurposing old garments

    Qualifications

In order to become a Dresser, it is advised that you have some sort of fashion sense. It doesn't have to be the most trendy and hip fashion, but one should be aware of different patterns and vibes of style to be able to better assist an agent who is embarking on a certain mission or looking for a persona that fits a requested vibe. If the agent is an older person who is going for the cozy, knit sweater, grandparent look, the Dresser's job is to make sure that they have a selection of clothing and hair choices to accommodate that. If an agent is attempting to blend in at a highschool, the Dressers must help them to wear the popular outfits of that location without being too bland or two over-the-top flashy.   Not every Dresser must be well-versed in all that the broad term encompasses, but it is helpful if they are. It diversifies their workload and makes them a valuable, flexible asset to the team.

    Career Progression

As Dressers advance, they can become the head of certain departments stationed at particular W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. base locations all over the world. They will be tasked to lead a team and make sure that all the Dressers under them complete their assignments in a thorough and efficient manner.

    Payment & Reimbursement

In addition to having access to the wardrobes they facilitate, the Dressers, just like other W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. employees, receive hefty payment, lodging, and other ammenities.

Commander McCox gives newbies the rundown:
Dressers are some stylish folks. They help to get everyone else looking stylish, too. They have so many things in those wardrobes. It's amazing! I stop in from time to time just to check things out, and on every visit, I swear there's something new. Like their supply is endless. They have clothing in every single pattern, color, and hue, for every body shape, size, height, and style! They have dresses, shorts, shirts, pants, ties, and jewelry galore. It's almost like stepping into your grandparents' attic and finding a treasure chest full of dress-up stuff...only these guys have stuff from every era. Not just vintage. They have modern stuff, like cyberpunkesque. They have stuff from all over the world, from backwards and forwards in time!   ...not to say they actually have stuff from forward in time. They have stuff that looks futuristic, I mean. You know, stuff people imagine we'd all be wearing in the future. Some is comically inacurate, but now that we're closer to the future, there are some realistic trends that have been projected to take root soon.
Nobody can tell for sure what will be worn in the future though, of course. Even when people make predictions that are realistic, they are still liable to be a bit off. I guess we'll find out when we get there. Not like we have a Time Machine or anything, even though it sometimes seems that Dressers do...
